Yadkin County Grants

The Wayne A. Shore Endowment Fund was established by bequest from Mr. Shore who lived in East Bend. He cared about Yadkin County, its residents, and the organizations that provide valuable assistance, programs, and services.

The Shore Community Grants are designed to fund impactful projects and initiatives that enhance the lives and communities in Yadkin County. This grant opportunity is part of his charitable bequest. These grants will offer awards up to $12,000 each. Successful grant awards will service Yadkin County with programs and services leading to transformative, tangible solutions addressing needs and interest of Yadkin County residents.

November 2021 - The Shallow Ford Foundation announces $120,012 in Shore Community Grants to thirteen community organizations.  The programs and services will take place within the next year.  Grants were made possible through the Wayne A. Shore Endowment Fund. All applications were initially reviewed by volunteer teams of local community leaders, foundation board members, and the family of Wayne A. Shore. The final grant recommendations were approved by the foundation’s board of directors.
