Sharrod Patterson Memorial Scholarship

Up to a total of $5,000 for 2022 graduating senior from Quality Education Academy. Applicants must plan to attend a 4-year HBCU to pursue a degree with preference given to students interested in a career in teaching, technology, or history. Applicants must have a strong history of community service. Applicants must also demonstrate a financial need in paying for college which is not met by other opportunities, such as athletic scholarships.

A memorial scholarship honoring and remembering the life of Sharrod Patterson. Sharrod worked with Big Bothers Big Sisters, helped launch WRAM Student Radio at WSSU, and served as a devoted educator at Quality Education Academy (QEA) in Winston-Salem for nine years, continuing to inspire many young minds during his tenure.
