Amount: Up to $2,000 for local adults from Forsyth County returning to an accredited school or recognized credential-producing program in the Piedmont region for an in-demand occupation.
Purpose: In 2020, The Board of Directors established a new scholarship fund for returning adult students that will accept donations of any size. The scholarships from this fund are made possible by many individual contributions. Significant individual or group contributions result in the scholarships named below.

The Frank H. Samuelson Scholarship Award: Frank Samuelson was among the leaders who helped the Clemmons Community Foundation Board of Directors to help align its structure with the community foundation model during a formative period in 2016-2017. Frank passed away on December 6, 2020, having also helped and influenced many other organizations and individuals.
Criteria: Applicants must be from Forsyth County and plan to or already attend Forsyth Technical Community College to complete a certification program that leads to employment in a field offering a livable wage.
