Up to $2,500 for an adult student from Yadkin County Schools seeking to continue their education toward a nursing degree or credential. The second year of the scholarship will be awarded contingent on maintaining passing grades and successful academic progression.
Up to $1,000 for a 2022 graduating senior from Starmount High School. Applicants must have demonstrated financial need, plan to pursue a full-time undergraduate degree from an accredited post-secondary institution, and have achieved a cumulative unweighted GPA of at least 3.0 through the 1st semester of the 12th grade. The applicant's financial need and merit will be equally weighted.
Up to $1,000 for 2023 a graduating senior from Forbush High School seeking a degree or certificate related to a career in electronics, welding, or construction.
Up to $2,000 for a student who graduated from high school in 2022 or before.
The Shore Scholars program offers rising Juniors and Seniors at Starmount and Forbush High Schools financial assistance as well as a supportive peer group and a personal mentor to provide encouragement, guidance and other assistance toward the recipient’s career and life goals.
