The Shallow Ford Foundation is pleased to announce the first round of grants from its newly launched Lewisville-Clemmons Education Fund, awarding a total of $11,500 to five schools in the Lewisville-Clemmons area. These grants provide urgent financial support for local educators and students impacted by staffing reductions and budget adjustments.
Beginning in late September 2025,principals at schools in Clemmons and Lewisville were invited to apply for grants ranging from $500 to $2,500. These grants will provide essential instructional tools and classroom resources that directly benefit students and teachers. All awards align with district goals and policies and are approved by the Shallow Ford Foundation Board of Directors. Importantly, grants are made directly to schools and do not impact future district allocations.
This inaugural round of funding supports the following projects:
· Clemmons Elementary School – Providing critical classroom supplies to restore a supportive learning environment and ensure equitable access for all students.
· Lewisville Middle School – Purchasing social studies textbooks to replace printed packets and support curriculum alignment.
· Meadowlark Elementary School – Expanding the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) DENS program to build community through team and character-building activities.
· Reagan High School – Creating a book club library for English II classes to promote a love for reading and diverse perspectives.
· Southwest Elementary School – Supporting Reflex/Frax math program to improve math fact accuracy and foster positive attitudes towards math.
“The Lewisville-Clemmons Education Fund is a beautiful example of what happens when neighbors come together to support local schools. Because of the heartfelt generosity of donors right here in our community, we were able to respond quickly with support that truly makes a difference for students and teachers.” said Emmy Corn, President/CEO of the Shallow Ford Foundation.
The Lewisville-Clemmons Education Fund is a reflection of our community’s shared belief in the power of education to transform lives. It’s made possible by neighbors who care deeply about creating opportunities for students and supporting the teachers who guide them.
