Two Grant Opportunities in Yadkin County and Lewisville-Clemmons

The Shallow Ford Foundation is excited to offer two grant opportunities to help local nonprofits bring engaging, community-building programs to life.

Applications will open on September 9. Deadline to apply: October 9, 2025.

1. Shore Community Grants for Yadkin County

Purpose: The Shore Community Grant invests in nonprofit-led initiatives that create lasting impact in Yadkin County. Grants support programs or projects that address unmet community needs, strengthen organizational capacity, and foster a deeper sense of community. Proposals should outline a clear path to long-term sustainability by demonstrating how the initiative will attract or leverage additional resources over time. Funding is available for new efforts as well as the expansion or continuation of existing programs that have shown meaningful results. Collaborative proposals involving multiple nonprofit organizations are encouraged to maximize community impact.

Grant amount: Up to $12,000

Who can apply:
Nonprofit organizations (501(c)(3) or governmental agencies) — not individuals

Service area:
Yadkin County

Focus areas:
animal welfare, arts and culture (that contribute to a vibrant community), community development and engagement, economic security and opportunities, health and wellness, human services and basic needs, sustainable agriculture and natural resource stewardship, workforce development and entrepreneurial cultivation

This funding opportunity is made possible by the Wayne A. Shore Endowment Fund, which was established by a bequest from Mr. Shore who lived in East Bend.

2. Lewisville-Clemmons Community Grants

Purpose: The Lewisville-Clemmons Community Grant invests in nonprofit-led initiatives that create lasting impact in Lewisville and Clemmons. Grants support programs or projects that address unmet community needs, strengthen organizational capacity, and foster a deeper sense of community. Proposals should outline a clear path to long-term sustainability by demonstrating how the initiative will attract or leverage additional resources over time. Funding is available for new efforts as well as the expansion or continuation of existing programs that have shown meaningful results. Collaborative proposals involving multiple nonprofit organizations are encouraged to maximize community impact. Priority is given to proposals that support seniors and address unmet needs of children within the Lewisville-Clemmons community.

Grant amount: Up to $7,500

Who can apply:
Nonprofit organizations (501(c)(3) or governmental agencies) — not individuals

Service area: 
Lewisville and/or Clemmons

Preferred programs:
Senior support, unmet needs of children

Key Dates

Grants will not be awarded for:

fundraising events, sponsorships, memberships, advertising or promotional products, capital campaigns, endowment, or annual campaigns, activities that do not demonstrate measurable, sustainable outcomes, clubs, sports teams, student travel, or other services limited to a select membership, cemeteries, political or lobbying activities prohibited by the IRS, organizations that grant out funds to other non-profits, public agencies for mandated or otherwise government-funded services Individual grants or awards
