The Shallow Ford Foundation is proud to announce the launch of the Stokes County Education Foundation (SCEF), a grant program created in partnership with Stokes County Schools to strengthen public education through classroom grants for educators. While Stokes County lies just beyond the Foundation’s core service area, we believe in addressing needs as they arise—even when that means reaching beyond our borders. This fund reflects our commitment to connecting communities and expanding opportunities for students.
The Stokes County Education Foundation is a fund of the Shallow Ford Foundation, made possible through community donations. Its goal is to support Stokes County educators with often limited resources in implementing innovative ideas and programs that enrich learning in the classroom. Modeled after the successful Yadkin County Education Foundation, the fund focuses on three key areas:
By connecting community generosity with educational needs, the SCEF aims to ensure every student has access to experiences that prepare them for success in school, career, and life. The Shallow Ford Foundation will manage the fund and grant process with guidance from an Advisory Board of active Stokes County leaders and community members. Board members serve one- to two-year terms, helping review applications and lead fundraising efforts. Learn more about the fund here: https://www.shallowfordfoundation.org/stokesed
Community support is essential to the success of this initiative. Contributions can be made in several ways:
