Gwyn Services has partnered with the Shallow Ford Foundation and Forsyth Tech to create the Daniel Boles Memorial Tools for Trades Scholarship, which awards 3 graduates each from the Forsyth Tech HVAC, Electric, and Plumbing Certificate Programs with a fully equipped tool kit to jump-start their new career. Each kit is valued at approximately $600. This year's award is supported by a gift from the Emily Millis-Hiatt Fund of the High Point Community Foundation.
Up to $2,000 for a student who graduated from high school before 2022 who is a resident of Forsyth County. Applicants must be either working towards completing an academic or vocational program. Preference given to students planning to or currently attending Winston-Salem State University.
Up to $5,000 annually for a high school graduate who attended Cook Elementary School in Winston-Salem for at least 3 years and is planning to attend or is already enrolled at Forsyth Tech or Winston-Salem State University.
