Lewisville Community Center Programming Mini Grants


The Shallow Ford Foundation announces a new mini-grant opportunity to support programming at the new Lewisville Community Center.

Grants for up to $2,500 will be awarded to nonprofit organizations wishing to provide programming at the new Lewisville Community Center, which will open to the public this fall.

The proposed programs can be scheduled anytime between November of 2021 and December of 2022.

Examples for programming may include but are not limited to:
·        Art or other instruction
·        Health and wellness programs
·        "Lunch and learn" style events
·        Lectures or presentations
·        Film, music, and other arts performances

The application is designed to be easy for organizations to complete.

Proposed programs should aim to brighten the lives of residents of all ages in the Lewisville-Clemmons community.

Priority will be given to programs that are suited to seniors and children/youth.

The community center is equipped with the following amenities:
·        Bluetooth connectivity to a full room sound system
·        Video monitors in all rooms
·        A large screen projector in the multipurpose room
·        Room capacity ranges from 16 to 18 people in the activity room and conference room,
        80 persons in each of three multipurpose rooms,
         and a total combined multipurpose room capacity of 240 persons

Grant applications will be reviewed and awards recommended by a team of community volunteers.

Grants will be awarded in late October 2021.
